Calendars
In this
example, the photo is enlarged until an area of the
photo makes a suitable background. Then an
additional picture node is added and the same photo
is loaded into that upper layer picture box. As a
final design element, a border was added with a
color sampled from the blue grafitti in the
photo.
Three types
of calendars can be found in the ROES ordering
software: Standard Calendars, Editable Calendars
and Sports Calendars.
In this
example, a node was simply added to the bottom and
filled with a solid color. Being able to sample a
color directly from the photograph is a nice
feature in the ROES Pager. Clicking the sample tool
on a shadow in the snow gave us a nice cool gray
that compliments the photo.
Standard Calendars are available in two
styles for 2008. Either style is available in 5x7,
8x10 or 10x15 print sizes. Both styles come in two
different configurations to accommodate either
vertical or horizontal images.
The Editable Calendar simply overlays the
calendar type over your photo and is available in 3
sizes.
Photos that work well with the Editable Calendar have a simple composition in the lower half. Although you may use an image editing program such as Photoshop to prepare a background area, the effects shown in the examples below were achieved completely within the ROES software using the Pager feature.
