Im considering using your lab for a large print order that I need to have processed. I have 3 questions:
1) I see that you can do color correction for every order, but is there anyway I can have it without any color correction done?
2) I am thinking of order some big panoramic prints you guys offer, but if there anyway I can get a proof sample before I spend all the money on it?
3) I have my monitor calibrated to sRGB, at 6500k and Gamma 2.2. Is that something you can use also? I am not familiar with the whole ICC profile thing. I usually print with Bay Photo and this is their setting.

Can you explain the difference between Endura paper and Metallic paper.. I have never used professional printing before and have only used stores such as CVS/Walgreens/WALMART..etc.. it seems like they dont have consistency in their prints/paper and would like to use your company to receive a better consistency..but I dont know what the difference is between these papers. There can be a huge difference in whether the printer does Relative or Perceptual. Most other labs use Perceptual, so do your printers really do Relative Colormetric? When using ROES, the program freezes. I'm using it on a Mac with Snow Leopard installed. I will start the program, and within a few turns of selecting a photo and adding a package, the program just stops and I need to force quit. Also, the program (probably just the start icon) disappeared from the applications folder and when I do force quit, the meridian logo disappears from my dock icon and is replaced with a generic terminal application icon. I tried downloading ROES again from you and that does not solve the problem. |

I understand for good high quality prints you need JPEGS with a resolution of 300 ppi. I use two different cameras. One is a point and shoot 8700 Coolpix Nikon. When I down load pics taken with this camers they come up with 300ppi resolution. My other camera is a Cannon SLR EOS Rebel T2i. When I take pics at the highest setting and download them on my computer I have JPEGS with a resolution of 72. Is the higher ppi better? If so how do I change the setting? This has been confusing to me. My Rebel has hugh files but really low resolution. My Nikon has smaller files but higher resolution. Can you explain about ppi's to me? Thanks |

I have scanned some old black and white negatives and used the RGB format in order to make adjustments to the shadow and highlight areas,I then convert these to the black and white format in Photoshop and save them as TIF files. My printer cannot provide the tonal transitions required for B&W printing. The prints are therefore not as good as I would like to see them.Can you print these files and reproduce the necessary tonal transitions? |

In the ROES ordering software, I have been dragging each image individually into the Layout Area and specifying the quantity to order. This can be a very repetitive and tedious process when dealing with a large number of images.
Is there a means to drag all of my images into the Layout Area at one time and then specify the quantity to be ordered?

If I need to get Black and White 16x 20 inch printed, what should be the resolution set in Photoshop CS2 in terms of pixels/inch? When I go and resize in CS2 it has also option of setting pixels/in and this changes file size dramatically. At 200 ppl/inch my file size is roughly 30 MB .

I"m wanting an 11x14 to look as if it has been painted. I did change the image in photoshop to get that effect but would like to actually have the brush stroke texture. would I order that print with the changed look image or revert back to the plain untouched image and add the brush texture? Hello, I am trying to upload JPEG files to the ROES system in order to print cards. When I select the 'folder' button and bring up the dialogue box to pick the photos, all the files are grayed out (even jpeg files). I am unable to upload anything. I have tried both tiff and jpeg. THe color profile is set to RGB, they are definitely JPEG files. I did have files printed a while back that I remember encountering a similar issue with. I don't remember exactly, but I think it had to do with the fact that I am working on a MAC? I can't remember. I know we finally got it to work, but don't know how. Thanks for your prompt help. I downloaded and extracted your Meridian ICC profile. Right clicked and selected install profile. When I go View/proof setup/custom, Device to Simulate does not show the ICC Profile. There is another Meridian device (Meridian_Noritsu3203_SEnd). I checked the System32/.../.../color subdirectory and your file is there. The Meridian_Noritsu3203_SEnd.icm is not. Why dont I see the ICC Device in my pull down box. (Photoshop CS5, v 12.0.4 x64, ASUS CS5100 4GB ram.)

Hello. I am a fairly new customer (I have only ordered once before). Since my last order I have been taking classes and learning to add effects to my pictures using Photoshop. When uploading the images using ROES, I either get a white border on the ends or top and bottom to get the full image I have created. If I use the crop adjust button to get the image to go the full size of the print size I"ve chosen, I lose some of my picture with the edge effects I've created. Is there anyway to get the full image without the white borders? I hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When I click to open your newly downloaded software I get a box saying Warning-Security The application's digital signature cannot be verified. Is this a typical problem, a bad/incomplete download or is it safe to run. I have not run the program as of yet because I don't understand why this box comes up every time I launch your software. Will it always be shown. It mentions something about an associated file (JNLP) not having a digital signature. In FAQ ID#395, you say that you can drag JPGs from a folder directly into ROES. In another FAQ you also mentioned that you can drag JPGs into ROES directly from photo editing software. However, there's no mention of Aperture photo editing software and whether it's possible to drag photos from Aperture into ROES. Is it possible to drag JPGs from Aperture into ROES, without first having to export the JPGs from Aperture into a folder? |

I am trying to order images i have edited in Photoshop Elements using sRGB colorspace. When I load them into ROES to order, some images are significantly under saturated and the color is off. How can I correct this? |

I am starting an animal photography business and was thrilled to find your company as it seems to offer so much! I see you offer red eye correction for people however red eye or white glaring eyes is a bit different in dogs and cats and cannot be corrected using red eye correction for people. Can you correct this problem in the photos of animals as well? your response would be greatly appreciated as i can't wait to try your services. Thank you.

how do you get the aspect ratio changed or converted to get a true 8x10 etc that has the image to the edge and not have approx a half inch of white space on each side?

I would like to convert some photos to B&W and I see that option can be selected by clicking on options and then clicking on B&W under image tone. However, when I click on the options button (underneath the photo, next to Sizes), I see 2 tabs - size options and image options. Under image options I see options for Standard Retouching, Extensive Retouching, and Additional Services, but I do not see Image Tone. Am I in the wrong place?

Used you with my desktop with no problems.....just loaded your software onto a new MacBook Pro. Can't get photos from iphoto to transfer or load into your software. Tried moving images onto desktop and transfer them from there....still no luck. When clicking on "folder" option on your order page, iphoto images are not highlighted and it will not allow you to click on any of them. Thank you for your help.

I have recently moved to an iMac with the huge screen. Have previously don all my work on a pc. I am having difficulty matching what I see on the screen with what comes out of my printer. I also ordered a book from another company and the photos appeared much darker than the way they appears on the monitor. How can I make sure the end product will not be darker that what I see. I have never ordered a hard cover book from Meridian before but I have a wedding client that is interested in that option. They were hoping to be able to order a hard cover book with a large quantity of pages but I was surprised to read on your website that the maximum number of pages is 25. This seems very low for this type of book, why is this? Also, I noticed on the ROES software, it states that the maximum number of pages is 50. So I don't know if there is an error in one of these statements. Thank you for your time. |

I ordered and received 4 -16x24 3/4" Standout photos. I find the 4-holes in the back of the standout. My question is: How do I safely and securely hang the stanouts? I'd like to attach a wire for hanging but I'm affraid the particle board won't hold the screw eye????

People buying your metal prints from me have asked about expected life, i.e. are the inks archival, is the gloss coat UV protective, etc. What can you tell me? (I am using your standard glossy finish, if that makes a difference.)

I am thinking of using your company to print a large number of photo products from and I had a few questins about your memory mates and collages.
Is there any way to get a generic memory mate, with just a solid color for a background and a place for the team name?
I may need to have 2 individual pictures along with the team photo, is there a way to do that?
Do you do any type of large, poster size collage prints where I could put all of my team photos together for the coach?

Do you use any UV protection when making your prints? I recently purchased a print from a photographer that does not frame his prints. On the back of the photo it said that the print was laminated with UV protection. What is this and is this needed if the photo is not being protected by glass? Is this something that you offer?

I am in the process of creating graduation announcements for some customers. When I select a style of flat, post-card product, I cannot change the font size. I am attempting to send a qued order. i only get a send erred message and it counts down to another send attempt but still does not send. i have made 8 attempts to send this order...............any suggestions or assistance would be great.

We recently ordered two standouts. There are two hollowed out areas in the back of the board, presumably to use in hanging, but we can't find anything that would fit in those holes for hanging the prints. Was our order supposed to include some kind of hanger to fit in those holes?
